Weighing apparatus based on resistance strain gages

Abstract: This paper designed a narrow-range cantilever steelyard in view of the common ground on the instrument applications in variety regions, which the resistance strain gauge installation used as reading monitor，as the resistance strain gauges were glued on the cantilevers. The design method
of the instrument was discussed in this paper, and the machine was manufactured to have a test with the standard weights. The result of model testing showed that the weighing apparatus could be enough precise to measure weight and this design method could be applied to produce great-range steelyard.
